consultant forester Eddie Stone

Eddie Stone is a Registered Forester and the owner of Forever Green, Inc. and has been in the land and timber business for over 25 years.

He obtained a Master’s Degree in Forest Business from Mississippi State University in 1988, 3.8 GPA.   Approximately one third of his classes were MBA courses.   The remaining curriculum emphasized the use of econometric and statistical modeling in the field of forestry.

While attending forestry school and immediately following, he worked in the forest industry in the corporate sector in the procurement,  land management, and IT arenas where he became an expert in land management, maximizing the biological growth of timber, determining the value of a timber tract, and maximizing its full potential for the landowner.  As a land manager/IT forester, Eddie supervised tree planting crews, assisted in prescribed burns, mapped and cruised company lands, and supervised labor crews.   As a procurement forester/timber buyer Eddie was responsible for delivering a certain amount of wood to a hardwood chip mill.  This required: negotiating wood orders with wood dealers and timber buyers, purchasing tracts of timber direct from private landowners who wanted to sell their timber, hiring loggers,  laying out and supervising road construction, inspecting logging activities to insure proper wood separation and ultimately making sure the money paid for the tract of timber was cut out.

In 1999, Eddie founded Forever Green, Inc.; a Consultant Forester company that quickly became a leader in the local timber business.   Eddie uses his  experience and education to provide professional forest management services to the forest landowners of Alabama.  Click here for a full list of services.
